I have been using windows 10 with office since 10 was released. I have also been updating both to the latest updates. I always manage to update successfully. I subscribed to office recently and I wanted to install office desktop apps. My guess is that it is installing SP2 for office when I already removed office I press “retry” and it just fails again. This issue might occur if you still have remnants of Office installed on the computer.
To resolve this issue you need to un-install or remove all the remnants of Office Follow these steps:. After the FIXIT completes un-installing Office , make sure to restart the computer and then try installing updates.
